The One Stop Small Business Center is designed to assist Oakland’s small business community develop, grow, and prosper by providing a comprehensive scope of services and referrals. The One Stop Small Business Center, funded by the City, is located at 519 17th Street on the 6th Floor in downtown Oakland.

Client Intake and Referral Services

Client intake and referral services of the One Stop Small Business Center are located on the sixth floor of 519 17th St., along with their Financial Resource Partners. The Technical Assistance Resource Partners of the One Stop Small Business Center are located on other floors. Clients who need financial assistance will be referred directly to a lender, others will participate in an assessment process to determine what additional assistance, training or services are required. Referrals will also be made to service organizations not housed in the OSCS facility who are part of the OSCS Resource Partner Network.

Citibank

Citibank is truly a "One stop Capital Shop" in that the bank offers a broad range of product and services for small businesses and individuals.

Bank of Oakland

The Bank of Oakland has been heavily involved in SBA lending since 1989 and, over the past six years, has been ranked as one of the top eight bank lenders in the San Francisco District of SBA.

Bank of America (Community Development Bank)

The Bank of America provides a wide variety of government-assisted small business loans to support job creation and economic development, with a special focus on loans of under $100,000 and businesses owned by minorities and women.

Marble Bridge Funding Group

Marble Bridge helps businesses achieve their growth and profitability goals by providing capital and value-added support services in a team oriented work environment. We maintain a visible presence in the community, assisting government and private institutions that serve small business.

Oakland Business Development Corporation (OBDC)

OBDC provides direct financing to start-up or existing small businesses located in Oakland with a particular emphasis on business located within the Seven Community Development Districts of Oakland.

SBA Financial Assistance

The SBA has a variety of lending programs, and information on them can be accessed at the One Stop Capital Shop.

OSCS TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE RESOURCE PARTNERS

Technical assistance service providers will provide business counseling, entrepreneurship training, loan packaging, and many other necessary services needed by the business community. Technical assistance partners of the OSCS are:

Business Information Center (BIC)

The SBA Business Information Center is a multi-media library, designated to assist you in the research and preparation of a workable business jplan which links computer technology with one-on-one counseling from small experts.

SCORE

Receive free, confidential one-on-one counseling from business experts. These business experts also offer a monthly workshop on How to Start and Manage a Small Business.

East Bay Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

Established business owners can receive advice consulting from experts with experience in business management, international trade, and minority certification programs. The SBDC also offers regular workshops.

Expanding Your Business?

Meet with our consultants in the Center to develop a plan for our expansion, to develop your loan request and to discuss your needs with a lender. Utilize the tools of the Business Information Center to define your new markets, your cash flow and financing needs.

PARTNERING WITH THE OSCS: Becoming a Member of the Resource Partner Network

An important goal of the OSCS is to build the capacity of its service delivery system by creating a Resource Partner Network with information about business service providers throughout the area. Clients of the OSCS who could benefit from any of the services you provide would be referred directly to you. If your organization or company provides any services that benefit the small business community or if you provide business development workshops or training seminars, contact the OSCS to become a member of the Resource Partner Network.
