The City of Oakland is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2002 with a 16-week series of events. The anniversary celebration will kick off with the City's official birthday on Saturday, May 4, 2002, and will culminate in the Second Annual Art & Soul festival over Labor Day weekend.
