Discover Oakland's history, architecture,

downtown's changing skyline, landmarks, churches,

high rises and neighborhoods through nine different

guided walking tours conducted by the Oakland Tours

Program and sponsored by the City's Community and

Economic Development Agency. Tour of City Hall,

Frank Ogawa Plaza and Administration Buildings

every first Tuesday. All tours start at 10:00 a.m.

and last approximately 90 minutes. Reservations

First and Third Saturday Tour the Paramount -

Public tours of the historic Paramount Theatre are

scheduled on the first and third Saturdays of each

month, excluding holidays. Tours include areas of

the theatre not usually open to the public and

theater's history. Tours begin at 10:00 am at the

Box Office Entrance on 21st Street; 465-6400.

 

Wednesday, Friday and Sunday dockside tours of the

USS Potomac Floating White House. The tours are

approximately 45 minutes scheduled on Wednesday and

Friday at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday at 12 noon.
