Performance By Successful Bidder

Time of Completion of Contract
The contract shall be completed within the time stated on the cover sheet or in the specifications. The City Manager may extend the time of performance specified upon proof of the contractor's being unable to perform work or deliver supplies and materials called in for in the specifications, if prevented or hindered by act of God, fire, strike, lock-out, commandeering of raw materials, products or facilities by civil or military authority or by any other cause beyond the control of the contractor. The City Council may extend said time, but in no event shall the time for the performance of any contract be extended more than ninety calender days in addition to extensions as authorized by the City Manager, except by a two-thirds vote of the City Council.

Assignment
The Contractor shall give its personal attention to the fulfillment of the contract and shall keep the work under its control.

The contract may be assigned only upon prior written consent of the Purchasing Manager.
