EXPRESS STATION

In an effort to enhance customer service, the Building Services Department has opened an Express Station wherein the permits specified below may be obtained more expeditiously. The Express Station is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Service at the Express Station is limited to three permits per request.

Permits served at the Express Station are:

• Over-the-Counter trade permits (including Meter resets): plumbing, electrical and mechanical
• Roofing, re-roofing permits
• Permits by FAX: sewer, excavation, (non-utility), plumbing, electrical and mechanical)
• Voluntary residential earthquake retrofit permits (with no calculations and no plans)
• Over-the Counter engineering permits: sewer (on private property only), sidewalk and driveway
• Permits for alterations, addition and tenant improvements that are ready for issuance
