This checklist provides a general guidelines of documents which are normally required to obtain permits which can be issued over-the counter within 24-hours and do not require planning permits or services (see brochure for Track Group 4). Although this applies to most minor projects, check at the Permit Counter to verify these submittal documents as they apply to your project..

# Copies Document DESCRIPTION OF DOCUMENTS
  1 Proof of Property Ownership Owners: Grant Deed or current property tax receipt
Contractors: Contractor's registration on PTS and current City of Oakland Business License
  1 Permit application worksheet Completed permit application worksheet for applicable permit(s)
  1 Certification of in-kind repair of replacements Statement attesting that the proposed repair or replacement will replicate what previously existed.
  2 Construction drawings Construction drawings which demonstrate that the applicable code requirements have been met. Also include landscape, sign and parking design (as applicable)
  2 Elevation drawings and/or photographs For minor exterior repairs, photographs of drawings which indicate all finishes (new and existing), height of floor and overall structure, and roof slope (as applicable)
