    1. 1. The Uptown Oakland project proposed on the blocks generally bounded by San Pablo Avenue to the west, Thomas L. Berkley Way (formerly 20th Street) to the north, Telegraph Avenue to the east, and 19th Street to the south entails the phased redevelopment of the project site with 665 residential units; 15,000 square feet of commercial space; 533 off-street parking spaces; and development of new 25,000 square-foot city park. The applicant currently seeks approval of a Planned Unit Development Permit (PUD05037 and PUDF05047), a Major Conditional Use Permit and Minor Variance (CMV05197), and a Vesting Tentative Map (TTM7616). In addition, the applicant seeks recommendations from the Planning Commission regarding a proposed General Plan Amendment (GP05105) and Rezone (RZ05106), as well as street vacations and dedications.
