    1. The Oakland City Center "Block T12" project proposed on the block bounded by Martin Luther King, Jr. Way to the west, 12th Street to the north, Jefferson Street to the east, and 11th Street to the south entails the redevelopment of the project site with one of two options: Option 1 would involve the construction of 284 residential units and an equal number of parking spaces in two adjoining eight-story buildings; Option 2 would include up to 423 residential units and 447 parking spaces in a 20-story tower above an eight-story podium. The applicant currently seeks approval of an amended Preliminary Planned Unit Development Permit (PUD), a Major Conditional Use Permit for development over 100,000 square feet and a Minor Variance from the required quantity of on-site loading berths. An addendum to the City Center City EIR is being prepared. For further information, contact Rick Tooker by e-mail atricktooker@sbc.globalnet.
