The City is constructing new traffic islands on Pierson Street between Macarthur Boulevard and Redding Street to slow down traffic and prevent “donuts”. We need to figure out the appropriate traffic flow for this area. We would like your input on this issue before the islands are permanently installed. We will temporarily stripe them with paint and delineators so the community can get an idea of what’s in store. Staff is recommending a design that is a two-way circulation scheme shown on Map A. The alternative is a one-way circulation scheme shown on Map B. Both designs prevent “donuts”.
The temporary striping and delineators will be installed in the week of 02/4/08. THE LAYOUT WILL BE THAT OF MAP A.
