Libby Schaaf has been with Ignacio since 1999. She handles all policy and City Council Legislative issues, as well as San Antonio constituent issues. She also chairs Ignacio's Decent Housing Task Force and Medical Cannabis Task Force and represents Ignacio on the Community Action Agency. She is a licensed attorney and previously practiced law at Oakland's Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May. Prior to joining Ignacio's office she ran Volunteers in the Public Schools at the Marcus A. Foster Educational Institute for three years. Libby was born and raised in Oakland.

Carlos Plazola has been with Ignacio since January, 2000 serving as the constituent liaison to the Fruitvale area of District 5. Carlos is bilingual in Spanish/English. He has a Master's Degree from Yale University in Political Ecology, and has worked with various non-profit environmental justice organizations, as well as with the Office of Congresswoman Barbara Lee previous to his working with Ignacio. Carlos has been married for five years and has two children, a boy, Emiliano, and a girl, Sofia. They are expecting another child in September. They reside in the Fruitvale area of District 5.

Georgia Richardson, a part-time Scheduler & Administrative Assistant, has been with Ignacio since March 2002. She handles the scheduling of appointments for the Councilmember and other administrative duties in the office. She retired from Honolulu Freight in San Leandro after 16 years where she worked in several different capacities in shipping containerized freight to Hawaii.
