Application Packet for CDBG Funds for FY 2009-2011

The City is accepting applications for funding for programs serving residents of the seven Community Development districts in the following categories: youth services, senior services, blight/healthy environment, and capital improvements.

You must have a Certificate of Attendance at the Mandatory Bidders Meeting in order to apply for these funds.

Please pay careful attention to the following components of the funding review process for the CDBG program:

1. Two mandatory orientation meetings to review the CDBG application process and requirements with prospective applicants were held on Monday, December 15, 2008 in City Hall Hearing Room 3, One Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Oakland, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In order to be eligible to submit an application, prospective applicants must have attended one of the two meetings and must have been present for the entire length of the meeting.

2. The deadline for submission of the completed proposals is 12:00 noon on Friday, January 16, 2009.

3. Successful applicants will be required to make presentations in February 2009 to the CD District Boards from which funding is being requested.
