Application Packet for CDBG Funds for FY 2007-09

The City is not currently accepting applications for funding. The following information pertains to the most recent application cycle and provides an example of how the application process works.

Please pay careful attention to the following components of the funding review process for the CDBG program:

1. Two mandatory orientation meetings to review the CDBG application process and requirements with prospective applicants will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 in City Hall Hearing Room 2, One Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Oakland. The meetings will be at the following times: from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In order to be eligible to submit an application, prospective applicants are required to attend one of the two meetings and must be present for the entire length of the meeting. Prospective applicants should bring their application packets with them to the meeting.

2. Prospective applicants must prepare a Project Profile form for each proposal that will be submitted. The attached form may be duplicated as needed and must be submitted at the August 16, 2006 mandatory orientation meeting. The Project Profile will enable staff to identify in advance the CD District(s) for which funding for each expected proposal will be requested, and to code the proposals in advance.
