Special Needs / HIV/AIDS Housing in Oakland

Also known as supportive housing, these are long term housing facilities that provide services such as healthcare, job skills, life skills, and legal assistance.

Homeless Families Support Network/Supportive Housing Program (HSFN/SHP)
The HSFN/SHP provides temporary housing and support services to families seeking to stabilize themselves and move toward a state of self-sufficiency. The HSFN is a network of agencies organized to provide a continuum of services and housing toward a goal of eliminating homelessness. Through case management, families are assisted with a variety of services and developmental tools necessary for them to obtain and sustain permanent housing.

Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) - the local HOPWA program assists persons with HIV/AIDS and their families throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Several types of housing and service needs are addressed through this program. See the links below for more information.
