Transitional Housing in Oakland

The Transitional Housing Program/Families In Transition (THP/FIT) program provides housing with case management ans support services to families for up to 24 months. The Transitional Housing program is designed to assist those families who are experiencing episodes of homelessness to sustain themselves and assist in bringing about stability in the family unit through services provided. These families are further assisted in obtaining permanent housing.

Transitional Housing Programs/Locations

• Families In Transition - an 18-24-month transitional housing program for homeless women and their children that includes support services and case management.
  
• Matilda Cleveland Transitional Housing Program - a 24-month transitional housing program that assists families who are moving toward self-sufficiency with support services and case management.
• Homeless Families Support Network/Supportive Housing Program (HSFN/SHP)
  The HSFN/SHP provides temporary housing and support services to families seeking to stabilize themselves and move toward a state of self-sufficiency. The HSFN is a network of agencies organized to provide a continuum of services and housing toward a goal of eliminating homelessness. Through case management, families are assisted with a variety of services and developmental tools necessary for them to obtain and sustain permanent housing.
