(download documents)
NOTE: The application period for this NOFA
has closed. Materials are provided here for reference only.
The City is not accepting new applications at this time.
The City of Oakland Community and Economic
Development Agency (CEDA) is announcing a Notice of Funding
Availability (NOFA) for affordable rental and ownership
housing development. Approximately $4 to 10 million is
estimated to be available from two sources: HOME funds
and Oakland Redevelopment Agency Affordable Housing funds.
Proposed developments can be new construction or substantial
rehabilitation. A complete program description and details
of the application process are included in the NOFA package.
Note: The State of California's budget take of redevelopment
funds may result in a significantly decreased amount of
Redevelopment Agency affordable housing funds this year.
As of the date of publication of this NOFA, the full impact
on housing funds is not yet determined. Please check CEDA's
Housing and Community Development website for updates.
Applications must be received at
CEDA’s
office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5,
2009. The
City and Agency reserve the right to suspend, amend, or
modify the provisions of the NOFA.
We strongly encourage potential applicants
to attend a meeting on the City's employment and
contracting programs.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 1,
2009, at 10:00 AM, in City Hall, Hearing Room 4 (second
floor).
Time will also be available for general questions and answers
on
the NOFA.
Should you have any questions or need additional
information regarding this NOFA or the City’s housing
development program requirements, please contact the Housing
Development
staff at (510) 238-3502.
The
City of Oakland and the Oakland Redevelopment Agency
are Equal Housing
Opportunity and Accessible Housing providers.
