Oakland Homeownership Assistance Alliance (OHAA)

The Oakland Homeownership Assistance Alliance (the Alliance) is a unique collaborative effort of public agencies, lenders, non-profit housing organizations and developers to expand homeownership opportunities in the City of Oakland.

The OHAA was developed to provide:

  • Information about the homebuying process
  • Assistance in eliminating barriers to obtaining a home loan
  • Access to special financing

Goals:

  • Originate 10,000 new home mortgages in the next 5 years
  • Provide $1 billion in private mortgage capital by Bank of America and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

Read OHAA's 2-year report - September 2001 (Adobe PDF).
