Functions of the Cable/Video Franchise Authority
Answers questions concerning cable/video television providers
Assist subscribers in resolving complaints concerning various services offered by cable/vide television providers
Educate the public regarding cable/vide television and telecommunications rules and regulations
Mediate disputes between subscribers and cable/video service providers
Manage the cable/video franchise contract between the City of Oakland and the Cable/video TV Provider
Administer the rules and regulations governing the use of City Rights-of-way by cable television, video service, telecommunication providers, utility companies and others
