The Mayor's Commission on Persons with Disabilities, with the Commission on Aging and the Center for Independent Living, is in the process of conducting a Survey of Service for People with Disabilities and Older Adults in the City of Oakland. We are collecting information about the types of services people with disabilities and older adults use, the quality of services received, and the unmet need of these groups. The City of Oakland City Council passed a resolution adopting the City of Oakland Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Curb Ramp Transition Plan on May 5, 2009: City Council Resolution Number 81954.

On Call Curb Ramp Program |
|

|
The City of Oakland has a policy to install curb ramps upon request by qualified individuals with disabilities at locations not otherwise scheduled for improvement. The program is not intended to address community concerns other than access for people with disabilities. To request installation of curb ramps, complete the Curb Ramp Program application and submit to:
