The Payroll Division ensures that City workers receive accurate pay and benefits week after week without fail. In addition to paying workers accurately and on time, payroll plays a key role in crucial government programs including the enforcement of fair labor standards, child support deductions and payments, social security taxes and benefits, unemployment insurance, and Medicare.
Payroll maintains a large database of historical data to provide departments with employee's histories and customized reporting.
Human Resource Information System
The Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) division supports the Oracle HR/Payroll system by providing the following services:
Troubleshoot and correct processing problems Troubleshoot system and computer problems Develop new processes and procedures Develop and design custom reports Investigate & research new enhancements to the system Analyze and test system functionality
New Programs in Payroll
Direct Deposit: Since it's inception November 2000, City Associates are rapidly enrolling in the Direct Deposit Program. No more standing in line at the Bank, or waiting for your check to be distributed on Payday. All full-time, permanent part-time employees and employees in Representation Unit J, (Senior Aides) are encouraged to participate in this benefit. Forty Percent (40%) of the workforce are currently enrolled and the numbers are steadily increasing. Join today!
