| When you make a request for a map view, you get an image created on the fly from raw data. One advantage to this software approach is that underlying tables of information, whether graphic or text, (parcel boundaries, zoning information, property ownership, etc.) can be kept current. Another important feature is the ability to plug in additional layers of information and spatial data as they become available.
The Dynamic City Map requires a browser "plug-in" which at present is available only for the Windows operating system. We regret this restriction, but want you to know that we were able to save considerably on your tax dollars by using a plug-in approach. To use the Dynamic City Map, you will need to browse with version 4.0 or above of Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer (Warning: IE 5 is currently not working with the MapRoom. Use Netscape for now.). |
