The Operations Division of the Oakland Fire Department responds to any and all needs of the Oakland community with professionalism, expertise, and dynamic training. The Operations Division includes:

  1. 500 Uniformed personnel to fill three complete shifts of response personnel
  2. 25 Stations, including the Airport,
  3. Extensive equipment and resources to handle any emergency,
  4. 60,000 response calls annually, 80% medical,
  5. OperationalComponents;
    1. Hazardous Materials Response
    2. Water Rescue
    3. Heavy Rescue
    4. Medical Response
    5. Structural Firefighting
    6. Wildland Firefighting
    7. Shipboard Firefighting
    8. Aircraft Rescue/Firefighting
    9. Terrorism/WMD Response
    10. Anything the Community Requires
