City of Oakland Partnership for a Safe Oakland
Project SAFE (Safety and Future Empowerment) can provide you, an Oakland building owner, with the tools you need to stay safer during earthquakes, wildland fires or severe storms. Project SAFE is a local pilot program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This program is a part of the federal Disaster Resistant Community Initiative, Project Impact. This program will allow residents and businesses to take hazard reduction measures that reduce the potential loss of life and property from natural disasters. A major goal is to reduce the community's overall post-disaster recovery costs and reliance on government financial assistance. TABLE OF CONTENTS
