Buildings
that are classified as a High-Rise are those buildings whose vertical height is at least 75 feet occupied space above
street level. These
buildings are unique due to structural components and the
increased difficulty for emergency responders to perform fire
ground operations, rescue, and other emergency operations.
Managers
and owners of High-Rise buildings are encouraged to allow the Fire
Department to conduct training exercises when possible to help both occupants and responders in
resolving incidents successfully.
