The City of Oakland is proud to announce the new Metropolitan Golf Links (formerly known as Galbraith Golf Course located near the Oakland Airport) will be open to the public as of Wednesday, April 16, 2003. Metropolitan Golf Links is one of three municipal city golf courses in the City of Oakland.

Course Overview
Metropolitain is a classic golf links with a spacious and open feel, beautiful views to the Oakland Hills, the Bay, downtown Oakland and the San Francisco horizon. Light winds off the Bay will often be a factor in the strategy and shot selection of the savvy player.

The City maintains and owns the land, but the golf course is operated by a private concessionaire CourseCo Incorporated. For more information or if you are a golfer and would like to make tee reservations, please call (510) 569-5555 or visit online www.playmetro.com.
