The Lake Chabot Golf Course is one of three municipal golf courses in the City of Oakland. It was established in 1923 and is located in the Oakland Hills with stunning panoramic views of the City of Oakland, Bay Bridge and Lake Chabot Regional Park.

A favorite of local golfers since 1923, the course recently completed extensive course and property improvements that have taken the course to the next level. Comprehensive re-seeding, fertilization and improved irrigation have significantly improved course conditioning and playability, while a complete remodeling of the property's historic Spanish-style clubhouse - including an upgrade to the Chabot Café and enhanced banquet and catering capabilities - make it the ideal location for special events ranging from business meetings and golf tournaments to wedding receptions and fundraisers.

Lake Chabot Golf Course offers an enjoyable challenge for everyone with a full length 18-hole layout, a 9-hole par 3 course ideal for beginners, juniors and families, and a variety of golf instructional programs for players of all ages. Regardless of ability, golfers will find Lake Chabot's signature par-6, 673-yard 18th hole to be one of the most unforgettable finishing holes in the region. Lake Chabot Golf Course is home of Golden Gate Par Chasers Golf Club, which was founded in the 1971 by a group of Black San Francisco Bay Area golfers. The club's name was derived from the golf course location at the Golden Gate Fields Race Track's 9-hole course. The club eventually moved to the 9-hole golf course at Lake Chabot where it gained recognition as the first Black recognized NCGA club.

Golfers who have discovered Lake Chabot Golf Course up in the hills have delighted in tremendous views of the greater Bay Area, along with a quiet setting, plentiful wildlife and one of the most uniquely challenging and affordable courses in the region.
