Athletic Field Reservations
Field reservations may be made with the Athletic Field Reservation staff between the hours of 12:00 to 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday.

The Sports Department operates and maintains 53 athletic fields, reservations of the fields and cancellations. The Office of Parks and Recreation has many multiuse fields available for rent to accommodate various types of sports and activities to private parties and even group tournaments.

Under adverse weather conditions or other emergencies, Parks and Recreation games may be cancelled or postponed, when this happens, for more information call (510) 238-PARK. Please note that during rainy weather all field permits must be confirmed by calling (510) 238-PARK after 2:00 p.m. on day of use; for weekends, confirmations must be made on Fridays after 2:00 pm.

Groups of 49 or More
For groups of 49 or more Parks and Recreation cannot issue permits for facility, park or picnic use without verification of a Special Events permit (or waiver) issued by the Oakland Police Department (OPD). Call (510) 777-8525 for more information.

The Office of Parks and Recreation (OPR) have many multi-use fields available for various types of sports. Please note: OPR's Sports Programs have priority over other users.

Reservations applications are accepted two weeks or more in advance during the following timeframes: March through May, June through August & September through November. All Fields are closed November through January.
