Studio One offers more than 100 hands-on art classes, monitor-assisted labs and activities for children, teens, adults and seniors at all skill levels for a moderate fee. Classes are scheduled as eight-to-nine week seasonal quarters. New subjects are offered each quarter. Mail-in registration or drop-in is available from 9 am ~ 7 pm Monday ~ Thursday or 9 am ~ 4:30 pm Friday and Saturday. The Studio is closed on Sundays.

Program Highlights
Summer youth art classes are Monday ~ Wednesday running between 10 am ~ 3 pm. Adult classes are offered year-round in subjects such as ceramics, fitness, glass, metals, painting and drawing, paper and printing, and special classes like soap making, affixing mosaic to a shoe, water coloring and landscape photography. Please call the Studio for schedules.

The City of Oakland, Office of Parks and Recreation (OPR) is proud to announce that Studio One Arts Center, built in 1894, will receive upgrades to meet seismic, electrical, mechanical and accessibility codes. Renovation dates are tentatively scheduled and will be released at a later date.
