The City of Oakland offers 59 outdoor tennis courts to accomodate avid tennis players to beginners. To reserve a court, please review the following information and guidelines:

Rental Guidelines

1. Tennis court reservation applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the reservation date.
   
   
2. Applications are reviewed by the Tennis Reservation Director and require approval before a permit is issued.
   
   
3. A Certificate of Insurance is required for all court reservations and for group tennis court reservations.
   
   
4. Tennis court reservations are available for:
   
   Spring (March ~ May)
   Summer (June ~ August)
   Fall (September ~ mid-November)
   
   
5. Office of Parks and Recreation programs have scheduling priority over all other tennis court uses.
   
   
6. When reserving multiple tennis courts, there must be at least one open court for public use.

Payment Information

• Payment in full is due at time the reservation is approved and least 14 days in advance of the event.
  
  
• Thirty (30) days or more in advance: payments may be made by check, money order, American Express, Debit Cards, Mastercard or Visa. Less than 30 days in advance: payment may only be made by American Express, Debit Cards, Mastercard or Visa only. *Debit Cards can only be accepted if they have the Visa or MasterCard symbols on the card.

Cancellation Fee
10 or more working days - Forfeit 50% of rental fee
Less than 10 working days - Forfeit 100% of rental fee

NOTICE

Tennis Courts: Tennis Courts are free to the public to use, on a first-come, first-served basis. Except for Davies Tennis Stadium.

Special Events Permit: For groups of 49 people or more, the Parks and Recreation cannot issue permits for a facility, parks or picnic use without verification of a Special Events Permit issued by the Oakland Police Department. Without these permits the Police have the authority to ask your group to disband. Info: (510) 777-8525.
