It is a pleasure to welcome you to Joaquin Miller Community Center, one of seven delightful and charming rental facilities available for reservation at the City of Oakland, Office of Parks and Recreation, Life Enrichment Agency.

Joaquin Miller Community Center
Nestled among the majestic redwoods of Joaquin Miller Park is the beautiful 8,500 square-foot, rustic wood framed, one-story community center with exquisitely designed stained glass windows and doors. This state-of-the-art facility includes a modern commercial grade kitchen, assembly rooms, conference rooms, outdoor decks, and an attractive alcove containing original artwork and a working fireplace. An office with staff, a spacious lobby, a cloak room and break area are also located within the center. The support spaces of this facility consists of storage rooms, paved walkways, parking spaces, and a service area.

The parking lot is adjacent to Joaquin Miller Community Center, with additional parking available in the lower parking lot.

Minimum Rental Requirements
Minimum of 4 hours plus deposit for the use of the Assembly Rooms and 2 hours for the use of the Conference Rooms. Please Note: Decorating and clean-up must be included in total rental time. Please allow plenty of time for preperation prior to your function. There is a mandatory set-up and tear-down fee. The set-up and tear-down consists of City staff setting up and putting away tables and chairs, sweeping and mopping. Rental group is responsible for removing any decorations and putting all refuse in containers.

Directions
From Berkeley
Take the southbound Warren Freeway (Highway 13) to the Joaquin Miller/Lincoln Exit.
Turn left at the next two stop signs.
Keep straight on Joaquin Miller Road to Joaquin Miller Park Woodminster Amphitheater entrance at Sanborn Drive on the left side.
The Community Center is to the left.

From Hayward
Take Highway 580 westward to the Warren Freeway (Highway 13) toward Berkeley.
Take the Joaquin Miller Road exit.
Turn right at the stop sign, go straight on Joaquin Miller Road to Joaquin Miller Park Woodminster Amphitheater entrance at Sanborn Drive on the left side.
The Community Center is to the left.

From San Francisco/Richmond
Take the Bay Bridge.
Highway 80 East to Highway 580.
Merge onto I-80 East.
Take the I-580 East exit towards CA/24/Downtown Oakland/Hayward-Stockton.
Merge onto I-580 East.
Take the Fruitvale Avenue exit.
Turn left on Fruitvale.
Turn right onto MacArthur Boulevard.
Turn left onto Lincoln Avenue.
Lincoln Avenue becomes Joaquin Miller Road.
Keep straight on Joaquin Miller Road to Joaquin Miller Park.
Woodminster Amphitheater entrance at Sanborn Drive is on the left side.
The Community Center is to the left.
