It is a pleasure to welcome you to Morcom Rose Garden, one of seven delightful and charming rental facilities available for reservation at the City of Oakland, Office of Parks and Recreation, Life Enrichment Agency.

Morcom Rose Garden
The Morcom Rose Garden is a fantasyland of thousands of fragrant roses. It remains as a resplendent backdrop for brides and grooms preparing to tie the knot in matrimonial bliss. The Rose Garden is a peaceful oasis in the middle of the City, hidden amongst endless beds of roses. The garden is conveniently situated just off Grand Avenue, not far from Lake Merritt, the treasured jewel of the city. The gardens are in bloom from Mother's Day in May through October 31 of each year.

For an elegant wedding amongst a sea of bountiful roses, reserve the enchanting gardens for a dream come true.
Every year the city reserves the scenic gardens to commemorate and celebrate the Mother of the Year Program.

Unique Amenities
To make it a delightful experience we offer unique amenities
Fantasy land of multicolored, fragrant roses. An elegant setting amid tranquil fountains. A peaceful oasis located in the middle of the city.
Minimum Rental Requirements
Minimum of two hours for the use of the facility plus deposit. Please Note: (There are restrictions that apply for the reservation and usage of this facility) Food and Beverages are not allowed, electricity is not available, and generators are not allowed on the premises.

- 9:00 am ~ 11:00 am
- 11:15 am ~ 1:15 pm
- 1:30 pm ~ 3:30 pm
- 3:45 pm ~ 5:45 pm
- 6:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm
Please Note: Wedding reservations are available May through October
Americans with Disabilities
The Gardens can be accessed by patrons on foot or by wheelchair along the path through the scenic rose beds. The Rose Garden outdoor areas are accessible, except for the bathroom which is upstairs.

Directions
From Berkeley
Take CA-24 West towards Downtown Oakland and stay to the left.
Take Highway 580 East towards Hayward.
Exit on Grand Avenue.
Turn left on Grand Avenue, immediately after exit.
Turn left on Jean Street.
From Hayward
Take Highway 580 West towards Oakland.
Take the Harrison Street exit East.
Follow Oakland Avenue which merges into Monte Vista Avenue.
Monte Vista Avenue will take you to the Rose Gardens.
From Highway 880
Take Highway 880 to the Harrison Street exit East.
Take Harrison Street to Oakland Avenue.
Follow Oakland Avenue which merges into Monte Vista Avenue.
Monte Vista Avenue will take you to the Rose Gardens.
From San Francisco/Richmond
Take Highway I-80 East ramp towards Oakland.
Merge onto I-80 East.
Take the I-580 East exit towards CA-24/Downtown Oakland/Hayward Stockton.
Merge onto I-580 East.
Take the Grand Avenue/Lakeshore exit.
Merge onto MacArthur Boulevard and turn left onto Grand Avenue, the first street off of the freeway ramp.
Turn left onto Jean Street.
Parking
For your convenience we offer off-site parking
There is no available parking on Jean Street. Please go to Sunnyside Avenue, take Olive Avenue off of Sunnyside Avenue and park on Olive Avenue. From there simply walk to the desired destination, the enchanting Rose Garden.
