Parks and Recreations Shining Star For more than seven years, Armando Aguilera has been providing outstanding service, knowledgeable information to the public and patrons, generosity and dedication to his job for the City of Oakland. These qualifications have earned him the recognition of April’s Spotlighted Shining Star for the City of Oakland, Office of Parks and Recreation. “Armando, thank you for your diligence and patience in assisting us secure to the Sailboat House for our Volunteer Appreciation Reception. In recognition of your remarkable contribution, I wanted to thank you for your time, energy and dedication toward making Oakland a healthy, brighter community.”
Armando, who now serves as a Public Service Representative for Central Reservations, is being honored for his outstanding contributions and support to OPR. He was nominated by staff, administration and customers for decisive and exceptional customer service.
