The Golden State Warriors are recognized and appreciated for taking pride in Oakland, through committed service, innovative literacy and educational programs, community outreach that promotes health and wellness, strengthening the community image and a sense of place, encouraging participation in recreation activities, and selfless dedication that are beneficial to the youth and community.

The Warriors Foundation strives for excellence, creating positive role models and active involvement with programs that are more than beneficial to Oakland. In order to applaud and show appreciation, the City of Oakland, Office of Parks and Recreation woulld like to spotlight one of our most esteemed sponsors, the Golden State Warriors, for all that you do and have continued to do in Oakland.

The Golden State Warriors provide invaluable services, programs and opportunities in Oakland. Celebrating and embracing diversity through committed, responsive, caring and active involvement beneficial to youths, adults and seniors. From providing for those who may not have on Thanksgiving Day, facilitating preventative care and health screenings, to renovating basketball courts to show pride and invest in our youth and neighborhoods, the Warriors are extraordinary and noble. The Warriors' programs are saluted and honored for their efforts, dedication and committment to the Oakland community, for their countless services and responsibilities that they facilititate and provide.
