Parks and Recreations Shining Star For more than ten years, Wendy Johnson has been providing outstanding service, knowledgeable information to the public and patrons, generosity and dedication to her job for the City of Oakland. These qualifications have earned her the recognition of September’s Spotlighted Shining Star for the City of Oakland, Office of Parks and Recreation. “Wendy assisted me with my reservation for the Morcom Rose Garden for my daughter’s wedding, which took place on July 12. Not only was Wendy extremely professional and helpful, she was warm, friendly and caring as well. She kept me updated on everything that I needed to do in accordance with the City of Oakland’s reservations policies. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.”
Wendy, who now serves as a Public Service Representative for Central Reservations, is being honored for her outstanding contributions and support to OPR. She was nominated by staff, administration and customers for decisive and exceptional customer service.
