PAL Grand Opening Celebration Wednesday, February 18, 2004 Cordial Invitation to Grand Opening at Verdese Carter Oakland ~ The City of Oakland, Police Activities League (PAL) cordially invites everyone to attend the festivities and grand opening celebration on Saturday, February 28, 2004 from 1:00 ~ 4:00 pm at Verdese Carter Recreation Center. Please join PAL and the community to this fun filled event. Sponsors who have made this event possible will be honored at the opening. Verdese Carter is located at 9600 Sunnyside Street, Oakland, CA 94603. There are 700 children citywide participating at the Reading Center at Saint Louis Betrand School as reported by police officer Margaret Dixon.
