Studio One Art Center Relocation For Immediate Release on Friday, February 25, 2005 Studio One Art Center is a North Oakland 57 years young presence. Grateful for the illustriously lengthy citizenry support, in plain English thanks the many who have given a public shout-out about the fitness and art services that have positively affected generations of people. The timing for those involved with this City of Oakland Parks and Recreation facility to show their appreciation, is because more help is wanted. The relocation phase of the renovation project from 365 45th street to downtown Oakland Malonga Casquelourd Center (Malonga Center) has begun. The Malonga Center was formerly known as the Alice Arts Center located at 1428 Alice street off 14th street. In order to succeed in arriving at the "all-clear" Friday March 25 target date, the many generations of people whose lives were enhanced by the programs at Studio One are requested to help sort items or bring boxes, supply rolls of duct tape, label things, supply pizza, saw chunks of the wooden portions of the walls(to be artistically enhanced and sold to raise funds for equipment), transport small equipment/furniture/supplies to the Malonga Center. Yours will be a wonderful random act of kindness.
