Red Cross offers free CPR classes

The Bay Area Red Cross will offer its once-a-year free adult CPR classes on March 12.

The two locations in Alameda County are in Oakland and Livermore. The classes will also include rescue breathing, care for choking victims and how to prepare for disasters.

"This is your third step in your family disaster plan -- make a plan, make a kit and get trained," said Joanne Robinson of the Alameda Red Cross.

Select sties will offer training in Spanish and Cantonese.
