In support of the community, to assist with direct services there was a combined effort of over 50 members (of the above listed and combined organizations) who worked on beautification efforts at Lincoln elementary school, a public school with the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), cleaning up eleven portable classrooms and five plant beds located along the side of the classrooms.

This overwhelming act of kindness and involvement was to benefit the entire community and to serve as an example of how making a difference can and does change lives, perspectives, and teaches valuable life lessons to children and adults alike.

The youths at the recreation center watched in awe as the group for ‘Renovate for a Better Tomorrow’ took pride and ownership of Lincoln elementary school and began diligently working on picking-up liter, cleaning the playground and classrooms.
