Lifeguard Training 2007

Lifeguard Training flyer imageThe purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course is to teach lifeguard candidates the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drownings and injuries. This program includes a lifeguard training course with aquatic-specific first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.

Course Prerequisites:
15 years old (by course completion date)
300 yards of continuous swimming in prescribed order
Recover 10lb. object from 7 - 10 ft. of water in 1min 40sec
