'Put a Local Face on Arts Learning in Alameda County'
These student artists were instructed by Studio One in-house and outreach (Specialist Program) teachers. His or her personal statements and photographs accompany each piece of artwork to show the importance of art to each young artist. This allows viewers to learn about the individual artists; what they may have learned from the experience and opportunity, why art matters to them, the creative process and how it relates to others.

Studio One's 'Celebrate Oakland's Youth Exhibit' emphasizes accessibility, equality, respect, creativity, expression, and individuality; allowing every participating youth to have fun while engaged in learning and creating. Every child is special and talented, which is reflected through their individual artwork.

*Art IS Education is responsible for the fourth annual showcase for arts learning in Alameda County, held throughout the month of March at a variety of locations to commemorate the importance and role of art in our lives, schools and in the community. This special culmination and powerful celebration of all mediums of art is dedicated to the creativity and talent of youths from Alameda County. Art exhibits and performances are held locally at schools, courthouses, libraries, businesses and recreation centers which feature thousands of beautiful works of art by youths.
