The commitment and overwhelming act of kindness involved is greatly appreciated and is to benefit the entire community. The goal of the clean up is to demonstrate that everyone can and does make a difference, that working as a team you can achieve anything you set your mind to, and to help provide for a better tomorrow by taking care of the world today.

Supporting the Community and Promoting Awareness
Volunteers, ranging from families to the young at heart, are taking pride and ownership of Manzanita Recreation Center and will be diligently working on clearing away liter and debris from the playground and sidewalks, and helping to clean classrooms inside and outside the recreation center. This is the first of several activities, to be announced at a later date, at the center and for the San Antonio neighborhood. Light refreshments will be served to volunteers directly following clean up efforts at 12:00 p.m.
