Beautification Efforts to Benefit San Antonio Neighborhood Thursday, March 18, 2004 Oakland ~ The City of Oakland, Office of Parks & Recreation (OPR) is proud to announce that Manzanita Recreation Center in partnership with the Public Works Agency and caring and active members of the community in the San Antonio neighborhood will be holding a ‘Clean-Up Day’ on Saturday, March 20, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. ~ 12:00 p.m. In support of the community and to lend a helping hand, Manzanita Recreation Center staff, patrons and volunteers will assist with beautification efforts. The commitment and overwhelming act of kindness involved is greatly appreciated and is to benefit the entire community. The goal of the clean up is to demonstrate that everyone can and does make a difference, that working as a team you can achieve anything you set your mind to, and to help provide for a better tomorrow by taking care of the world today.
