Help Keep Oakland Beautiful
Oakland ~ The City of Oakland celebrates Earth Day with an annual citywide Cleanup and Beautification event in April and is proud to support community efforts to keep Oakland beautiful all year long. The Earth Day 2004 event will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2004 from 9:00 am through 12:00 pm. We hope you can participate, volunteer and join us at any one of the following listed locations, where Earth Day cleanup efforts in Oakland will be held.

Earth Day is the largest combined beautification and cleanup effort event spanning throughout East, West and Central Oakland. The City of Oakland, Public Works Agency, Keep Oakland Beautiful Unit provides participating organizations with project support in the form of tools, debris disposal, water, t-shirts, overall project coordination, and marketing support.

Organize an Earth Day Event in Your Community
To find out how to volunteer on Earth Day, support a project to clean the city, organize a community cleanup or beautification project in your neighborhood, please email earthday@oaklandnet.com.

The City of Oakland appreciates the efforts of volunteers and organizations that continue to support and make Earth Day such a success each year.
