12th Annual Spring Egg Hunt Saturday, April 10, 2004 ![]() Oakland ~ The City of Oakland would like to invite children, between the ages of four through twelve years old, and their families to the 12th annual Spring Egg Hunt at Lake Merritt/Lakeside Park (along Lakeside Park beach area, nearby Children’s Fairyland and the Edoff Memorial bandstand) on Saturday, April 10, 2004 from 12:00 p.m. ~ 4:00 p.m. It is reported that 2,500 participants attended the 11th annual Spring Egg Hunt at Lake Merritt in 2003 by Mike Church of the City of Oakland Human Services Department, who is the coordinator for transportation at this year’s event. Admission is free. Refreshments are also free and include beverages, hot dogs, cotton candy and popcorn (please note: limited quantities on hand; on a first come, first serve basis). There will be jumping castles, entertainment, clowns, face painting, and so much more for everyone to enjoy. So please come and join the festivities on Saturday. Children under the age of six must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at this event, no exceptions.
