Spring Citizens' Academy Friday, April 16, 2004 Oakland ~ The City of Oakland enthusiastically invites Oakland citizens to participate in the Spring Citizens' Academy offered through the Equal Access Office. Get involved, join today! Learn the fundamentals about the City of Oakland and the services we offer. The Purpose of the Citizens’ Academy is to engage Oakland citizens with their City government by providing an interactive forum to learn first hand how the City of Oakland is structured and managed. In addition it shows what the City’s relationship is to Alameda County, the Oakland Unified School District and other public agencies. The Citizens’ Academy is open to any Oakland resident who has an interest in city government, how it serves its residents, and how a community of informed residents can improve the city. Applications are due by Friday, April 16, 2004.
