These games are not just for super athletes. Hershey's philosophy encourages the participation of all eligible children. Local winners advance to the state competition at San Jose City College on June 17, with a chance of advancing to the national competition in Hershey, PA August 3-6.

The meet includes basic running, jumping and throwing events designed to make every player feel like a winner. If you're a kid between 9 and 14 who wants to have fun outdoors, or if you're a parent trying to encourage healthy habits, these Games were made for you.

Participation is by age as of December 31, 2006:

• 9 ~ 10 year olds born in 1996 & 1997
• 11 ~ 12 year olds born in 1994 & 1995
• 13 ~ 14 year olds born in 1992 & 1993
