Keep Oakland Ballet Dancing
Wednesday, April 28, 2004

Oakland ~ The Honorable Mayor Jerry Brown, Councilmember Ignacio De La Fuente and Vice Mayor Henry Chang, Jr. would like to request your support for the Oakland Ballet.

Support the Oakland Ballet
"We are writing to you today to invite you to join us to Keep Oakland Ballet Dancing. Founded in 1965, Oakland Ballet is the oldest cultural institution in the East Bay. We can ensure the enduring legacy of this cultural institution with your support and tax-deductible donation of any amount. We cannot afford to lose the outstanding educational, artistic and cultural value that Oakland Ballet has brought to our community for nearly 40 years."

The Oakland Ballet Association has launched an intensive major fundraising campaign and their goal is to raise $500,000 by May 31, 2004. Time is very sensitive, and your donation is crucial to meeting this goal. We, therefore, urge you to demonstrate your support by donating to the Oakland Ballet Association today.

Please send checks payable to the Oakland Ballet and mail to 130 Linden Street, Oakland, CA 94607.

For more information, please call (510) 452-9288, or donate online at www.oaklandballet.org.

Remember, your contribution can make a tremendous difference.

For Immediate Release
