Honoring Lake Merritt’s Birds
Monday, April 26, 2004

Oakland ~ The City of Oakland would like to invite everyone to attend special gatherings on behalf of the Rotary Nature Center that will honor Lake Merritt’s birds which will take place on April 26 and on May 2, 2004.

Two Special Gatherings
Monday, April 26 at 6:30 ~ 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m. ~ 12:30 p.m.

The Rotary Nature Center will be hosting two community gatherings for you to share personal stories, reflections, and memories of visits to Lakeside Park/Lake Merritt’s Bird Refuge. Your stories will be recorded for historical and artisitc purposes. Please join us in celebrating the bird refuge at Lakeside Park.

The idea behind this is to come together in community to share reflections about the birds so as to inspire each other and the artists working in this project and for historical preservation for the future of this land and refuge.” ~ Patricia Bulitt

Hosted By
