Don't put off those spring garden and home improvement projects for lack of the proper tools! Check out the Oakland Public Library's Tool Lending Library at the Temescal Branch, 5205 Telegraph Avenue. The Temescal Tool Lending Library has over 2,000 tools and more than 5,000 registered patrons representing every Council District in Oakland, as well as Piedmont and Emeryville.

In addition, the Temescal Tool Lending Library partners with the Oakland Fire Department and the City of Oakland's Public Works Agency to continually add new tools to keep your homes and yards safe and enhance the beauty of Oakland's neighborhoods. This summer is predicted to be an especially high fire season, so don't delay!

Your can borrow tools, including chainsaws and weed "wackers," for no charge as long as you are a resident or property owner in Oakland, Piedmont or Emeryville.
