The California Music Awards will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2004 from 12:00 pm ~ 6:00 pm along the grass area and plaza area of Frank H. Ogawa Plaza in downtown Oakland (across from City Hall, along Broadway and 14th Street).

Cast Your Vote
Voting for favorite artists began on Thursday, April 1, 2004 on the California Music Awards website www.californiamusicawards.com; the deadline to cast a vote is Tuesday, June 1, 2004. The people chose the musical artists who are presented with awards at the CAMA’s each year, so hopefully you didn’t miss your chance to vote for your favorite bands. Find out who wins on Sunday!

Just to name a few of the groups that are nominated for the California Music Awards are No Doubt, A.F.I., Ledisi, Green Day, Hieroglyphics, and The Offspring.

As reported on the California Music Awards website, in 2003 there were 10,000 people who attended and enjoyed the outdoor musical showcase in the plaza. We hope to see you at the CAMA celebration this Sunday in support of local artists.
