More Fun at the Cleveland Cascades
Friday, June 18, 2004

Join us for a fun and exciting clean up of the Cleveland Cascades on Saturday, June 19th, from 9:00 am ~ 12:00 noon!

There's still more fun to be had at the old Cleveland Cascade. Hurry up and come over to help, before we get it all done!

We'll be doing a little bit more excavating (not too much left to do), a little bit of exploring (e.g., figuring out where the electrical conduits for the colored lights run, some sweeping, some weeding, and a LOT of moving dirt.

Excavating the basins uplifted a lot of dirt and rocks. We need to separate the rocks we don't want from the dirt we might want, and leave the rocks in buckets for the nice people of Parks & Rec to come pick up.

Bring work gloves and water. We'll bring the tools. Feel free to stop by for a while on your way to and/or from the Farmers Market.

The Cascade is turning into a very exciting project. We're getting outstanding support and cooperation from Oakland Parks & Recs. The landscape architects at PGA Design are taking a big interest in the project and are being very generous with their time and consultations.

Pretty soon we hope to be able to announce more about medium and long-term plans for the Cascade.
