Library Targets Oakland's Youngest Readers with Free Literacy Workshops Monday, June 21, 2004 Thanks to a generous grant from the Stocker Foundation, Oakland Public Library has added several free Family Literacy Workshops to our schedule of fun events for the "Go Wild with Books!" Summer Reading Program 2004. Literacy Workshops will be offered for families with children ages two through five years as well as those with kindergarten through 5th grade kids. Non-English speakers will find several bilingual sessions available in Spanish and one Cantonese workshop.
