Theatre Presents "Laugh A Little, Cry A Little" For Immediate News Release Friday, July 9, 2004 Oakland Summer Theatre Presents "Laugh A Little, Cry A Little" Oakland ~ The City of Oakland, Office of Parks & Recreation (OPR) and Studio One Art Center presents the Oakland Summer Theatre play "Laugh A Little, Cry A Little" showing on five separate dates in August at the Attic Theatre. The Oakland Summer Theatre is proud of their musical play, which will be held on August 13, 14, 15, 20 and 21 at the Attic Theatre at Studio One Art Center located at 635 - 45th Street in Oakland. Barbara wants to sing, her fiancé has a job offer that will mean relocating to Texas. Her boss wants her to headline at his nightclub. Her mother gave her up for adoption when she was a baby and is looking for her. The book, music, lyrics and theatric direction are by the talented Gerald Wright. Additional songs are by Pat Turner and Liz Thomas. Ticket donations benefit Oakland Parks and Recreation and are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and discounted tickets of $12.50 per person for groups of ten and more. Seating in the intimate space is limited so order will in advance to ensure availability for your preferred theatre showing dates and times. Showtimes are 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings, 3:00 pm for the Saturday matinees and 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 15. A donation is requested for the tickets to the plays.
